Symmetry Skeg system™ uses a spring as the force to drop the skeg and a wire with which to retract it. This in contrast with most skegs used by other brands that utilize the wire-skeg system.

This kit is not suitable for retrofitting as the necessary inserts, recesses and pre-molded threads are only present on Point 65 kayaks made for SymmetrySkeg™.
